The unveiling of a 5 million pound cross road took place
in Oxford Circus. due to the fact that crossing system has been remodelled and
now resembles what one Londoner described as "a lethal looking algebra x style crossing." The
crossing that was officially opened on Monday 2nd November 2009. The
crossing was inspired by Tokyo’s scramble crossing, therefore instead of
cutting a ribbon Major of London
Boris Johson banged a huge gong to declare the crossing open as Japanese
musicians played taiko drums. I hope this will curb the amount of deaths around the oxford street area as there has been many a day where I have seen the famous yellow fatal traffic accident signs.
